I’m Esmée, a French watercolour illustrator based in the South of France.

I tend to paint the things that make me pause: an old shopfront, a well-loved cup, an English expression or the first signs of a new season. My affection for England often slips into my work, alongside the colours and softness of southern France.

I like each illustration to feel familiar, as though it belongs to a story you almost remember.

“I create nostalgic watercolour illustrations and paper goods inspired by English idioms, seasonal folklore, everyday treasures and the quiet rituals shared between France and Britain.”
